Fotbal

Fotbal, known as football in most of the world and as soccer primarily in the United States and Canada, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score goals by getting a ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on a rectangular field, typically grass or artificial turf, and is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game.

The game is played in two halves, each lasting 45 minutes, with a 15-minute halftime break. Players use mainly their feet to move the ball, but other parts of the body (excluding arms and hands) can also be used to control the ball. The goalkeeper, however, is allowed to use their hands within the penalty area.

Football is widely considered the world’s most popular sport, with millions of fans and players across the globe. Major international competitions include the FIFA World Cup and continental tournaments such as the UEFA European Championship. The sport emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and skill, making it a significant cultural and social phenomenon in many countries.
